Commentary

I am surprised that no one has come up with the Cornish word for waffle. So, I decided to give it the literal meaning of a “weaving-pastry.” This is rooted in waffle‘s meaning as a pastry, but also the “weaving” component may be an inspiration from the proto-Indo-European root for the word waffle, which means “to braid/weave.”
