Dino Paul Crocetti (1917-1940s)
He was born in Steubenville, Ohio to Italian immigrants. Martin began his early years as a boxer, a casino dealer, a steel mill worker, and a gas station worker. He eventually found his way into show business through fellow actor Jerry Lewis.
He began his career by singing for bandleader Sammy Watkins.
Dean Martin (1940s-1995)
He was eventually convinced by Sammy Watkins to change his name from Dino Martini to Dean Martin.
His most famous songs include “That’s Amore” and “My Rifle, My Pony, And Me.” Included in Martin’s bibliography are his extensive musical and film career.
